DON’T FEEL MUCH Andrew Allen 2020 V1 Young love, grew old, my hands, still hold Your heart, ice cold, you’re done, I fold Long nights, short days, I’m strong, they say These walls, I made, to hide the pain PRE I tried to turn a little part of me off Hoping I could feel numb, thinking I could move on The problem is you can’t just turn a piece off Ya shut the whole damn thing off, I can’t even feel love CHORUS ‘Cause I don’t feel much, I don’t feel much at all I know I’m fucked, I need someone to call To get this off of my chest, I’m trying my best to breathe again ‘Cause I wanna feel something, I wanna feel something ‘Cause I don’t feel much, na I don’t feel much V2 You left, I froze, my heart, it broke Turns out, I don’t, like being, alone My tears, ran dry, no pain, just time Trapped in, my mind, maybe that’s why PRE I tried to turn a little part of me off Hoping I could feel numb, thinking I could move on The problem is you can’t just turn a piece off Ya shut the whole damn thing off, I can’t even feel love CHORUS ‘Cause I don’t feel much, I don’t feel much at all I know I’m fucked, I need someone to call To get this off of my chest, I’m trying my best to breathe again ‘Cause I wanna feel something, I wanna feel something ‘Cause I don’t feel much, na I don’t feel much BRIDGE Maybe I’m afraid I’ll die, and I won’t feel a thing Or maybe I’m just terrified that I won’t love again CHORUS ‘Cause I don’t feel much, I don’t feel much at all I know I’m fucked, I need someone to call To get this off of my chest, I’m trying my best to breathe again ‘Cause I wanna feel something, I wanna feel something ‘Cause I don’t feel much, na I don’t feel much

V1 Had an apartment in the West End, you and I were best friends Making love on the weekend, every day was the weekend You were scared of airplanes, but ya wanted to go to cool places So ya put on a brave face, held my hand, said you felt safe PRE I know you like your own time, ya know I like to share mine Maybe that’s a hard line, I never woulda guessed that I’d Be standing here confused, watching while I lose Everything I thought I knew CHORUS There’s so many things about you I remember Your favorite pair of jeans, your dad’s old sweater How you get kinda sad in rainy weather But I feel like I don’t know you now, did I ever? Feel like I got burned somehow, damn, did I ever V1 You say you’re doing so well, it’s funny ‘cause I can’t tell I know, that I’ve been through hell, not that, you asked how I felt I still have the photographs, years deep, remember how we used to laugh Now you’re tryna hide the past, new friends, new you, but you want half PRE What about the late nights? Camping in the moonlight? Promising you and I gonna do life, I never woulda thought that I’d Be standing here confused, watching while I lose Everything I thought I knew CHORUS There’s so many things about you I remember Your favorite pair of jeans, your dad’s old sweater How you get kinda sad in rainy weather But I feel like I don’t know you now, did I ever? Feel like I got burned somehow, damn, did I ever BRIDGE A memory’s a weird thing, when we don’t see the same thing It’s kinda like a strange dream CHORUS There’s so many things about you I remember Your favorite pair of jeans, your dad’s old sweater How you get kinda sad in rainy weather But I feel like I don’t know you now, did I ever? There’s so many things about you I remember Like all the little secrets that I’ll treasure Do you still get sad in rainy weather? ‘Cuz I feel like I don’t know you now, did I ever? Feel like I got burned somehow, damn, did I ever.

Unhear 02:31
V1 Can we talk? Can we say what’s on our mind? Without arguing this time, about who’s wrong and who is right? Can we stop? How I See It 04:36
V1 I started my life with a suitcase My mom was just a kid, and we both had to grow up Could've been left without love, but I was chosen instead By a mom and a dad who would tuck me into bed With a song and a kiss on my forehead PRE And all my friends could see Is that it must be hard for me CHORUS That’s not how I see it, Not how I believe it You can call it rose colored glasses, or naive but the fact is Everything could be tragic to me That’s not how I see it Not how I perceive it I don’t wanna live in the past or try to change what I can’t This shit is a blessing to me I don’t hate the world, and i don’t think it hates me And that’s just how I see it V2 I had a choice when I was real young While other kids were climbing trees my friends life got taken by one Could’ve been scared of the world, whether I like it or not Thinking it shoulda been me, when a scar is all that I got Or maybe not PRE And all my friends could see Is that it must be hard for me CHORUS But that’s not how I see it, Not how I believe it You can call it rose colored glasses, or naive but the fact is Everything could be tragic to me That’s not how I see it Not how I perceive it I don’t wanna live in the past or try to change what I can’t This shit is a blessing to me I don’t hate the world, and i don’t think it hates me And that’s just how I see it V3 Well my love she left me in the winter And in 17 years the wind’s never felt so cold Could’ve been angry as hell, to be honest i was For a second I thought, it was my only chance at love But I know it’s not CHORUS And that’s just how I see it, That’s how I believe it You can call it rose colored glasses, or naive but the fact is Everything feels like magic to me That’s just how I see it That’s how I perceive it ‘Cause I’m not gonna live in the past or try to change what I can’t This shit is a blessing to me I don’t hate the world, and I know it don’t hate me And that’s just how I see it

about

The title alone says a lot about the creation of this record. 12:34 is what’s known as an Angel Number, and it’s a number that I’ve seen repeatedly for the last few years. 12:34 can be seen as a number of progression and/or steps along a journey or life path, it indicates that you may have to put some hard work and effort towards a new project, venture or important life- change, and these will be of long-term benefit to yourself and your loved ones.

My life legit turned upside down. This album catalogues it, and is without question, the most honest piece of work I’ve ever contributed. Parts of it dissect the emotions and feelings (or lack of them) that are associated with grief, pain and loss, while other parts dive into new love, the excitement, the joy and the opportunity that comes with it!

I went through a roller coaster of emotions, and felt a sense of obligation to share it all in its rawest and purest form. I’ve always loved full albums because they share the whole story as an artist vs just single after single.
Don’t Feel Much came to me as a brutal awakening that by shutting off the painful parts, I actually shut off all feeling. Did I Ever is an homage to anyone that’s ever loved someone and thought they knew them deeply only to ask the question after a breakup if they ever actually knew them at all. Homeless is a release of worry, and the excitement in finding new love and a new life, while Wanted and Linger both dive into the intimate connection between two people and the desire that you can’t help but see, feel and want more of!

I wrote How I See It from a severely personal space. It’s a song that I hope resonates with anyone choosing to see things from a different angle, a positive one, and it’s not in any way discounting the shit they/we/us have gone through, but instead showing that those events made us stronger.
My Friends is a feel good, party song, that legit follows real life events where it was my friends that carried me through the weird times, the hard times and the fun times! Tequila honestly made me think I could play basketball. Turns out I can’t, but for a moment, I was awesome.

Ready for You is a song that taught me something, even though I wrote it! It was a pleasant reminder that the stuff we go through is often just a conditioning to prepare for something we couldn’t have ever imagined.
As a sum of all the parts, this album tells the tale of losing love, and finding love, and all the pieces in between. It’s my story, and I’m really fucking proud of it.
